Privacy Statement

Cxense acknowledges the importance of privacy in conducting its business activities.

What information do we collect?

When you register to use our services, we need to obtain some personal information from you in order to provide those services. The information we request includes your name, email address and a password. In the case of some services like advertising and publishing, we also request credit card, debit card or bank account details in order to charge you or make payments to you. This information is stored on secure servers.

When we use the information you have provided, we only do so in order to provide the services you have requested.

When you use our contextual services, we collect information from your browser in our server logs. This information includes details of your request, Internet Protocol address, browser type and language, date and time, and cookies that may be required to satisfy the request.

When you use location-based services, we may also obtain information about your location from GPS signals or cellular data sent from your mobile device. You may also elect to provide us with your location when searching for location-specific services on other platforms.

Our advertising services require us to keep information about any advertising links that have been followed. We do this in order to improve our services to users as well as our advertising and publishing customers.

Your consent and our obligations

When you register for a service supplied by Cxense, we ask for your consent to use the information we collect from you in order to provide the service. Cxense will not use this information for any purpose other than the one for which you have given your consent.

If you use any of our services that require cookies to be sent to us, you may choose to prevent your browser from sending cookies, but doing so may prevent the services from performing correctly.

You may choose not to provide the personal information requested on registering for our services, but Cxense may then be unable to provide its services to you.

Cxense will only share the personal information it has collected about you in the following situations:

1. When you have consented to our sharing the information with another entity.
2. With an affiliated company acting on our behalf, including handling financial transactions. All such processing will be done in compliance with our privacy and security requirements.
3. When required to do so in order to comply with legally enforceable processes or requests, to prevent fraudulent activity or enforce our service agreements, as permitted by law.

In the case of our advertising services, we may share aggregated, non personally-identifiable information with our customers. This information may include statistics about the number of clicks on a certain advertisement or the numbers of users who searched for a particular keyword. No individuals can be identified from this data.

Cxense relies on users registering for our services to provide us with accurate information and to update that information when it is no longer correct.

If our privacy policy changes such that the usage or handling of your personal information is affected, we will notify you and seek your consent to the changes.

Security

Cxense applies appropriate levels of security to the storage and processing of personal information. Access to the information is restricted to Cxense employees and contractors for whom such access is necessary in order to conduct and improve our business. Anyone who has access to personal information is bound by a confidentiality agreement.
